Mansoor Kazerouni

Mr. Kazerouni is the Global Director of Buildings at IBI. Mr. Kazerouni graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Master’s degree, in 1991. With over 25 years of experience, he has a significant portfolio of projects completed or underway across Canada, the United States, the UK, UAE, Jordan and India. These include high density high-rise residential buildings, hotels, office, retail, institutional, and complex urban mixed-use developments. A number of these projects have been nominated for and received Urban Design and Architectural Design awards.
Stephen Karr

Stephen’s practice focuses on all aspects of real estate and condominium law, acting primarily in the area of condominium land development, as well as general counsel to condominium corporations.
Stephen is a frequent lecturer on issues related to condominium law on behalf of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Condominium Institute.
Julian McNabb

Julian oversees both the Operations Team and the Consulting Division in his role as Vice President of Melbourne Property Management. He comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience and is a well-respected member of the condominium management industry. Julian provides consultancy services to many of Ontario's top condominium developers. He is also well-known for helping, developing and training managers to ensure that they have the requisite knowledge and understanding to meet client and resident needs in this changing industry. Over the course of his career, Julian has worked on over 800 Condominium projects in Ontario.
Saša Krcmar

Sasa Krcmar is a principal with Krcmar Surveyors Ltd. and specializes in condominium development. Mr. Krcmar has 35 years of experience in all aspects of cadastral surveying, coupled with “big picture” industry perspective and business expertise. In September 2005, along with the Greater Toronto Home Builder’s Association, he organized and co-chaired the first Condo: Start to Finish Seminar with Mark Freedman. The conference tradition was once again re-born with Harry Herskowitz in 2014 and is now part of the industry thought leadership of the co-chairs for the past 8 years with LandPRO.
Niall Finnegan

Industry Experience: Niall has over 36 years of experience in the Canadian construction industry. He has held several senior leadership positions in the business. Niall was a Senior Partner at Helyar from 1986 – 2005. Many of his contributions during the time can be attributed to the successful creation of Altus Group Limited, Canada’s largest construction cost consulting and real estate development management company, where he held the role of President of Cost Consulting until 2011.
Ryan Guetter

Ryan joined Weston Consulting in 2004 and currently acts as Executive Vice President. Ryan’s experience has developed significantly over the years in the areas of feasibility studies, development proformas, urban design, community master plans, subdivision design, zoning by-laws, and the preparation of optimal use studies and options analyses. Ryan routinely represents clients before Municipal Councils’ and Committees and often appears before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and Toronto Local Appeal Body as an expert witness.
Debbie MacDonald

Debbie MacDonald is a seasoned multi-family residential condominium professional; she currently leads the pre-construction side of 59 Project Management Inc., a turnkey construction management firm that specializes in the trifecta of project management services: pre-construction, construction, and post construction. 59 currently manages 8-10 projects under construction and another 12-15 projects in pre-construction with a combined project budget value of more than $1.2B. The 59 client base is vast and ranges from first time developers to seasoned development veterans and power houses.
David E. Slan

David Slan is a leading commercial real estate lawyer with expertise in all major real estate asset classes. He maintains a dynamic practice focused on the acquisition, development, financing, construction and ultimate sale of condominium and subdivision tract housing, as well as the acquisition, disposition and financing of multi-residential, retail, office and industrial properties and portfolios. He is a national leader of the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Group.
Harry Herskowitz

Harry Herskowitz is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1979. Harry is qualified as an arbitrator/mediator, having completed a course in arbitration/mediation at the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies in 1994. Harry's practice is devoted to real estate, mortgage lending and commercial transactions, with emphasis on land development and condominium law. Harry's practice also includes arbitrating disputes involving commercial real estate transactions and condominium issues, and providing legal opinions on various aspects of real property law.
Calvin Lantz

Calvin Lantz is a partner and head of the Municipal & Land Use Group in the Toronto Real Estate Department of Stikeman Elliott.
Calvin is a Certified Specialist in Municipal Law (Land Use Planning and Development) by the Law Society of Upper Canada. He appears before administrative Boards and approval bodies and agencies, including Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (formerly the Ontario Municipal Board), Committees of Adjustment, Land Division Committees, various Municipal Councils and Committees.
Maja Krcmar

Maja Krcmar is a leading figure in the condominium development community. An expert in mixed-use multi-component condominiums, and three-dimensional “stratified” severances, her firm, Krcmar Surveyors, has been involved in some of the GTA’s most iconic condominium projects. Maja was licensed by the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors in 1997 and is currently the Managing Director at Krcmar Surveyors. With 30 years’ experience in land surveying, she is extremely dedicated to condominium surveying excellence.
Alexander A. Foundos

Alexander is an associate in our real estate department. Prior to attending law school, he graduated from York University with a B.A. (Hons.) in economics and political science. He attended law school at the University of Windsor and completed a semester at the University of Amsterdam in the International Law Program before graduating in 2002. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003.
Patrick Harrington

Patrick is a member of Aird Berlis' Municipal & Land Use Planning Group. He frequently appears before the Ontario Land Tribunal (formerly the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal), seeking or opposing development approvals for a broad range of clients. Patrick regularly advises municipalities, private businesses, landowners, property managers and ratepayer groups on a broad range of regulatory matters, including zoning and Building Code infractions, by-law interpretation, sign regulation, property standards, development charges and minor variances. Patrick also represents private/public housing landlords and tenants on a variety of matters before
the Landlord and Tenant Board.
